These Coves in Marmaris Are Something Else

Marmaris's coastline is dotted with stunning hidden coves that are perfect for swimming, sunbathing and diving. These hidden gems in Marmaris offer spectacular panoramic views that will take your breath away. You can explore the rock pools in some of these coves where fish are abundant and the water remains a clear blue color. If you do visit, certainly don not miss the chance to see these amazing coves!

1. Turunç Cove

Turunc Cove is one of the most visited places wthin the daily tours. The land is small so most people prefer to see it via boat. Most mornings, the sea is extremely cold. It is almost unbearable, but as the sun shines it gets warmer. The water is clear which makes it amazing to swim in. The entrance is free, but if you prefer to have an umbrella or some sunbed to go with it, you will pay for it beforehand. You can enjoy the different restaurants that are there with a fee and you can also try out different water sports as well. If you plan to see this cove, make sure you also check out the Amos Antique City as well.

2. Amos Cove

The Amos Cove between Turunç and Kumlubük is one of the cleanest coves in Marmaris. It is like an aquarium. There is no public transportation to get you ther so you will have to use a boat or your private vehicle to visit. The entrance is free, but you have to pay a small fee to be able to use the sunbeds. The beach is mostly made with stones but it is still really fun and comfortable to walk on. If you want to take a trip to Amos Cove, make sure to bring your snorkel gear. The clear water makes it a great spot to view the different fish and creatures that swim with you. Please do note: There aren't any supermarket places around the cove so make sure you bring your own necessary items with you.

3. Baklabükü Cove

This cove is known for the olive trees that are spotted near it. Not many boats and tours visit this place so it offers a less crowded more secluded trip.

4. Çiftlik Cove

This cove can be visited with a daily boat trip or with a vehicle. Access is quite easy. It is one of the less crowded coves to visit so we recommend it for guests who are looking to enjoy a relaxing outing and a more calming setting. There aren't a lot of locals in this area which might feel strange at first but the cove grows on you as you settle into a more expat community. There is an island in the middle of the cove and there are some restaurants along the cove for you to enjoy. Again, the entrance is free but if you want to use the sunbeds and the umbrellas, you would have to pay a small fee. Once you do enter you may enjoy free food and drin. All that’s left is tolay out your towel and relax.

5. Gebekse Cove

Gebekse Bay, right next to Çiftlik Bay, is a place where there is no land access, where you can come by boats and boats departing from Çiftlik Bay next to it, or by daily tours departing from Marmaris. Gebekse Bay, which you can also walk from Çiftlik Bay, is indispensable for blue cruises, especially with its underwater views. After swimming in Gebekse, a pebbly beach with a clear and clean sea, you can go for a walk and explore the ancient ruins. With its untouched nature and environment, Gebekse Bay is one of the most beautiful beaches and one of the best diving spots in Marmaris.

6. Bördübet Cove

Bördübet is one of the bays of Marmaris surrounded by pine forests. The name of Bördübet Bay, located in the Gulf of Gökova, comes from the British once calling it "bird's nest", which means "bird bed" due to the bird diversity of the region. This cove, intertwined with nature, is primarily the choice of those who want to spend a quiet day alone with themselves. This bay is the place to rest and unwind in a peaceful setting where you may reset and Bördübet is known for a relaxing time. You may also take on hiking, trekking, canoeing and paddling as activities. There is no settlement around Bördübet Bay; however, you can stay at the glamping campsite and boutique hotels near the bay. You can reach the bay by public transport, private vehicle or boat tours.

There you have it. These are some of the greatest places that we recommend you visit while you are visiting Marmaris. Make sure to check out the places that we offer that will give you the comfort that you are looking for while you are planning a daily trip to these locations.
