Summer Holiday Trip Essentials

If you have visited our page, then you know that we have a lot of different rental properties in a lot of different locations. Even though we supply you with everything you need, you might consider bringing your personal items. So, in this blog we will talk about the things that you might forget just when you are about to leave for the nice summer trip!

One of the many perks of living in a developed nation is that we are able to travel far and wide without sacrificing comfort or safety. If you're planning a trip, you might plan on renting a property for awhile. There are quite a few things to keep in mind before heading out on this pleasurable journey, including making sure that your house is safe, clean, and suitable for those who will be staying there with you during your time away! Here's some advice to help make the most out of your trip.

This is a list of things to bring with you to a house you'll be renting. These must be things that you won't need much of in the way of furniture and appliances - clothes, books, CDs, etc. I always bring an extra pillow or two along with my comforter and an air mattress just in case I need it. It's also a good idea to bring some extra paper towels and toilet paper. Sometimes, you'll be surprised at how little is provided.

Don't Forget About Your Children

For a parent with children, children's items are very important. Think about the age of the child when deciding whether or not you think the item will do them any good or not and pack accordingly! Receiving blankets and sleepers should be included because these items provide safety benefits as well as comfort. There's nothing worse than being away from home and missing out on important things like your baby's blanket or favorite stuffed animal.

It's also very good to include duct tape, toilet paper, and scissors. These items are great for a variety of reasons - taking off the plastic wrap on vegetables, a quick fix for tear-outs in clothing, etc. I keep a small box of them around because I always seem to need one of these things at some point or another. You never know when you'll need them!

Along with food and drink, it's a good idea to bring along some paper towels. You can use them to absorb accidents and spills with the drinks and food you have brought. It is not a good idea to use anything that is made of cloth.

Food That May Go Bad

If you're bringing perishable food with you, make sure you keep it stored properly. You should always be sure to keep food in the refrigerator at all times. If you're not sure what temperature it is at all times, have someone who knows how to properly store food check your refrigerator!

Proper Clothing

When you go to a rental house, don't forget to pack clothing that you need for the summer months! You probably won't need much winter clothing during your trip. Make sure that you include jeans and swimsuits, as well as some light sweaters and t-shirts. There will be plenty of time after you check into your rental property to visit the malls and shopping areas for more winter clothing.

Along with clothing, you should also pack a pair of sandals and some flip-flops. You might not need them on your trip, but it's always good safe to have these items around just in case! You can wear these instead of shoes when you're on vacation. It's also easier on your feet because there's no break in the pedicure after walking around in sandals all day.

Don't Forget The Sunscreen

The sun is very strong. Make sure you bring a lot of sunscreen when heading to a rental property. You can always buy these items there but it's easier and less expensive to bring the ones that you already have at home. Pack strong sunscreen because if you get a sunburn, it can really ruin your trip! If you have kids, make sure they have plenty of sunscreen too! You never know if they'll run out or not be able to find any while shopping at a store or mall. If a child is getting their first tan, you should include plenty of moisturizer.
